A job well-done?
Pauly Long, 30, says he feels great after eating raw steak for 100 consecutive days.
The so-called “Testicle King,” who lives in Bali, Indonesia, ate a variety of foods growing up, but decided to limit his diet after developing stomach issues five years ago.
“I wanted to experiment and see how I felt, and also show the public that eating raw meat is perfectly safe,” Long explained to Jam Press.
“I did one raw steak per day, and then anything else I wanted to eat, which could’ve been another steak that I chose to cook or eat raw again,” he added.
The content creator has been labeled the “Testicle King” since he’s documented himself chowing down on animal hearts, testicles, and tongues.
Generally, it is not recommended to eat uncooked meat, with The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention noting that “eating raw and undercooked meat and poultry can make you sick.”
According to UCLA Health, consuming raw meat can lead to foodborne illnesses like E. Coli — but Long insists he’s never felt better.
The dad of one claims he has had “no complications” from eating large quantities of raw meat, but urges others to do their own research.
He says he’s noticed a positive change when it comes to his digestion, energy levels and overall mood.
“I started noticing the biggest shift around day 30 — after that, it became very noticeable every day — good energy, great digestion, all around great feeling after eating raw,” Long explained.
He did admit that typically, his diet includes raw and cooked foods, but he feels his best when eating foods that are not cooked.
“I combine a mixture of raw and cooked because I’m a huge foodie and love to experience good food out, but overall eating raw makes me feel the best,” he said.
He says he buys his steaks at a “reasonable price” and believes humans can “thrive” off a completely raw diet.
In a recent TikTok that has consumed more than 870,000 views, Long showed himself eating a homemade steak tartare on the 97th day of the challenge.
He was met with tons of comments asking how he’s “not dead” and how he doesn’t get sick.
Long doesn’t mind — he just brushes the haters off.
“I’m so used to it by now I don’t even pay attention anymore,” he said.
“Of course everyone thinks I’m crazy and during the challenge everyone was always saying how I would get sick and die, but it’s just entertainment to me.”
Long isn’t the only person who consistently chows down on uncooked meat.
Last year, an Instagrammer went on a mission to eat raw meat every day.
He documented himself eating uncooked steak, fish and chicken as well as egg yolks.
