Hulu has canceled its new murder mystery series Death and Other Details after just one season.

This may be disappointing news for viewers as Season 1 left audiences with quite the cliffhanger and now they might never get to find out who those severed limbs that fell from the trees came from.

According to Deadline, the series never reached Nielsen’s weekly Top 10 streaming ratings.

Written by Mike Weiss and Heidi Cole McAdams, Death and Other Details stars Mandy Patinkin as “the world’s once greatest detective,” Rufus Cotesworth, and Violett Beane as his protégée, Imogene.

Together, the duo set out to solve a murder on a luxury cruise ship on the Mediterranean boarded by some of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful people. Along the way, they gain a powerful foe.

The Season 1 finale revealed an elusive character named Victor Sams as the villain’s identity. He was brought to justice, which essentially means the sleuths solved the main mystery, however, a new case presented itself in the final seconds of the last episode.

Let’s also not forget the unresolved love triangle between Imogene, Sunil, and Jules.

Death and Other Details also stars Pardis Saremi, Angela Zhou, Hugo Diego Garcia, Lauren Patten, Rahul Kohli, and David Marshall Grant, among others.

Weiss and Cole McAdams served as co-showrunners, as well as executive producers alongside Marc Webb (who directed the pilot) and Mark Martin for Black Lamb. ABC Signature also produced the series.
