Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife reminisced on the happier days of her marriage with the WWE legend just days before the news of his death on Thursday.
Hogan, 71, was taken by ambulance from his home in Clearwater, Fla. early Thursday morning, with a 911 call citing “cardiac arrest,” according to TMZ, which reported there was a large police presence at the scene.
“The Good old days!” Linda, 65, wrote, including an old snapshot of the former couple. She did not specify what year the photo was taken.
Some were surprised by her message, as the exes have publicly feuded in recent years.
Hulk, who’s real name is Terry Bollea, and Linda were married from 1983-2009, and they have a daughter Brooke, 36, and son, Nick, 34.
In March, an emotional Linda tearfully explained in a video posted to her Instagram that her family was “the worst mess” and that she is estranged from Brooke.
Linda also called the former pro wrestler a “sex addict” and “complete liar” — and alleged that she got nothing in their divorce, despite helping him build a business empire during their marriage.
The WWE confirmed Hogan’s death on Thursday.
“One of pop culture’s most recognizable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans,” the organization wrote on X.
Earlier this month, Hogan’s current wife, yoga instructor Sky Daily, denied rumors that the WWE Hall of Famer was in a coma, stating that “his heart is strong” and he was recovering from a recent neck surgery.
“No, he’s definitely not in a coma! His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage… none of those rumors are true,” Sky wrote in a statement on Instagram. “He’s been recovering from a major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion (ACDF), which is an intense surgery with a long and layered healing process. If you look it up, you’ll see what the last six weeks have involved… not just for his spine, but also for his vocal cords, and the eating/breathing tubes that are clamped over during surgery.
“We’ve been in and out of the hospital to support that recovery. So truly, there’s no need for the drama or panic some people try to stir up. He’s healing, and we’re taking it one day at a time with love, strength, and patience.”
Hogan married Sky, who is 25 years his junior, in September 2023, two months after announcing their engagement.
His son Nick, and Daily’s three children were all present at the nuptials, TMZ reported at the time.
Brooke, who was not at the wedding, later said in a statement on Instagram that she chose to create distance between herself and her family for her own journey of healing and happiness.
“I wish him well,” the former reality star concluded, referring to her wrestling legend father.
Hogan was married to his second wife, Jennifer McDaniel, from 2010-21.
