After closing another chapter in their storied rivalry with the Boston Red Sox, the Yankees are heading north.
The American League Divisional Series begins tonight, Oct. 4, as the New York Yankees begin a five-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays, who the Yankees battled all season for the AL East lead. The Blue Jays clinched the division title on the final day of the regular season.
The Yankees punched their ticket to the ALDS after taking the Wild Card series to three games before eliminating the Red Sox in a 4-0 victory where rookie Cam Schlittler pitched eight shutout innings, striking out 12.
As divisional rivals, the Yankees and Blue Jays play each other often, but today’s game marks the first time that these teams will meet in the playoffs.
During the regular season this year, the Blue Jays lead the season series with eight wins to the Yankees’ five.
Here’s how to tune in to Game 1 of the AL Divisional Series without cable.
Yankees vs. Blue Jays ALDS Game 1 will start at 4:08 p.m. ET today, Oct. 4.
If you don’t have cable, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to stream the Yankees in the ALDS for free. One option we love is DIRECTV, which comes with a five-day free trial and starts at $59.99/month for genre packs, with plenty of subscription options and genre packs that include Fox and FS1.
The series will also stream live on FOX ONE, the new streaming service from FOX and FOX Sports. FOX ONE comes with a seven-day free trial before $19.99/month payments begin.
All times below are listed in ET.
