After a mid-May series that saw the Yankees win two games to the Mets’ one, it’s time for the finale of the 2025 Subway Series.

The three-game series, set to be played at the Mets’ Citi Field, begins this afternoon with a July Fourth matchup.

Both teams are entering the three-game series in the midst of rough patches, but the Mets just won a series against Milwaukee, notching two much-needed wins on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Yankees fell out of first in the AL East last night after getting swept by the Toronto Blue Jays over the past three days.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to tune in to the Subway Series for free.

If you live in the Mets and Yankees television market (New York, New Jersey, parts of Eastern Pennsylvania, and Connecticut), you can watch all three games of the Subway Series on SNY (for the Mets broadcast) or YES (for the Yankees broadcast).

The Saturday July 5 game will also air nationally on FS1.

For those who live in the Mets or Yankees television market and don’t have cable, there is one live TV streaming services that includes both SNY and YES in plans and offers a free trial. DIRECTV is your best option here, with plans starting at $59.99/month after a five day free trial.

Additionally, fuboTV (seven days free) carries YES and Hulu + Live TV (three days free) carries SNY.

Though it’s not free, you can also watch SNY live with its new in-market streaming package offered through MLB.tv. For $24.99/month (or $124.99/year), subscribers in the NY area will be able to stream every Mets game that airs on SNY.

Living outside of the Mets and Yankees TV market? No problem — MLB.tv has you covered. You can take advantage of a seven-day free trial before payment begins for whichever of the two plans you choose.

There are options for an all-team pass ($29.99/month) and a single-team pass ($129.99/year).
