That’s right, tennis fanatics: the 2025 Wimbledon Championships have begun! With such an exciting line up of players this season, you won’t want to miss a single second of the action.
The Championships kicked off this week, and fans are gearing up to witness some serious heat on the court. The stakes are looking higher than ever for No. 1 seeds Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner, both of whom also happened to be the No. 1 seeds for the French Open last month. The upcoming rounds are looking particularly intense for Sabalenka who, as the New York Post reports, is seeking redemption for her French Open championship loss against Coco Gauff, the Wimbledon’s No. 2 seed.
Sabalenka and Sinner will be fighting for the title of 2025 Wimbledon Champion against last year’s champions Barbora Krejčíková and Carlos Alcaraz, who have both returned this year to reclaim their titles. Though fans may be excited to see Sinner and Alcaraz face off again after Alcaraz’s devastating win against Sinner in the French Open, the two players being on the opposite ends of the Wimbledon draw makes this possibility unlikely — unless both players make it to the championships. ESPN will broadcast the entirety of the Championships from first ball to last ball, from June 30–July 13. Wimbledon 2025 will air on ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN Deportes (Spanish), and will be available to stream on ESPN+. Extended coverage of select live matches will also air on ABC during the middle weekend, on July 5 and 6.
