


After three consecutive wins in the group stage, the USWNT is headed to the quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic soccer tournament.
The team notched wins against Zambia, Germany, and Australia on the road to the quarterfinals. Now, they’ll play Japan, which went 2-1 on the group stage.
Since women’s soccer was introduced to the Olympics for the 1996 games, the USWNT has played in each tournament, winning gold four times, with one silver and one bronze medal — there’s only one of the seven Olympics they’ve participated in that they didn’t win a medal at.

The USWNT and Japan face off in the Olympic quarterfinals today, August 3, at 9:00 a.m. ET. The game will air on USA Network and Peacock.
If the USWNT wins today’s match, they’ll advance to the semifinals on August 6. The bronze medal game on will be played on August 9 and the gold medal game on August 10.
