Today is Group C’s last day of group stage action in the 2024 Copa America, and the outcome of these games will determine which two teams (of four) advance to the knockout round.
After a 2-1 loss to Panama last week, the USMNT currently sits in second place with a +1 goal differential pulling them ahead of Panama, who have the same amount of points.
Unless Uruguay loses to the US by more than four goals tonight, they’ve all but locked up that top spot — it’s the second spot that’s a little more up in the air.
The United States need to win or draw tonight to advance, provided the goal differential doesn’t change in Panama’s favor. In simpler terms, Panama must better the USA, or, provided both teams win, their margin of victory must be at least two goals better than the USA.
The USA will enter tonight’s game without forward Tim Weah, who was suspended two games following a red card vs. Panama. Uruguay’s manager, Marcelo Bielsa, won’t be on the sidelines tonight, as he was also suspended for delaying the team’s return to the pitch in the second half of last week’s match against Bolivia.
Tonight’s game airs on Fox Sports 1 (FS1), but Sling TV and more will carry the game at a discount or free entirely with a new subscription.
Kickoff for Team USA and Uruguay is set for tonight, July 1, at 9:00 p.m. ET.
USA vs. Uruguay is airing on FS1, so if you have cable, all you’ll have to do is turn FS1 on at 9:00 p.m. tonight or fire up the Fox Sports app and log in with your cable credentials.
If you just plan on watching Team USA tonight, three live TV streaming services come with FS1 and free trials for new users.
If you’re planning on watching the rest of the tournament, the most cost-effective way to stream every remaining match of the 2024 Copa America is without taking advantage of a free trial at all.
You won’t get any days for free, but you will save over $40/month.
Sling TV’s Blue plan includes FS1, and right now, you can get your first month for 50% off. Instead of $45, you’ll pay $22.50 — and all you’ll need is that one-month subscription to watch the entire tournament through the July 14 final match.
Team USA and Uruguay will play at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, MO – home of the Kansas City Chiefs.
