Top Chef returns tonight with a new twist and the biggest prize package in the show’s history.
Season 22 of Top Chef will see the reality show head to Canada for the second internationally-set season of the show, and instead of limiting the location to one city, cheftestants will be hopping around the country.
A group of 15 new chefs will compete for, in addition to the title of Top Chef, $250,000, a $125,000 flight credit with Delta Air Lines, a feature in Food & Wine Magazine, an appearance at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, the chance to present at the James Beard Awards, and the opportunity to to headline a dinner at New York City’s James Beard House.
The series’ signature restaurant wars challenge will also get a revamp, with the judges setting “guardrails on overused concepts they don’t want to see in hopes of sparking fresh and out-of-the-box ideas.”
Top Chef Season 22 premieres tonight, March 13, at 9:00 p.m. ET. New episodes will air weekly on Thursdays at 9:00 p.m.
The only way to watch “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” live without cable is by using a live TV streaming service. We recommend DIRECTV Stream, which comes with a five-day free trial and includes Bravo in its base plan. With new genre packs available that let you curate your streaming experience, you can also subscribe to the MyEntertainment pack, which offers Bravo at a lower price.
fuboTV is another great free option that’s also offering great savings on the first month. After a seven-day free trial, you’ll be able to save $20 on your first month, bringing the $84.99/month price down to $64.99.
Top Chef Season 22 will not stream live on Peacock, but subscribers will be able to watch new episodes of Top Chef on Fridays, the day after they air on cable.
It’s the most cost-effective way to tune in to Top Chef if you’re fine not watching it live.
15 new cheftestants will enter the Top Chef kitchen for Season 22
Kristen Kish will return for her second season as the host of Top Chef. Tom Colicchio will also return as head judge with Gail Simmons as perennial judge.
A rotating team of judges, including acclaimed chefs, actors, reality personalities, and more, will join Colicchio and Simmons throughout the season: Andrea Aprea, Denia Baltzer, Daniel Boulud, Jeremy Charles, Ilona Daniel, Greg Tarzan Davis (Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning), Connie DeSousa, Wylie Dufresne, Sheila Flaherty, Eden Grinshpan, Brenda Holder, Punkie Johnson (Saturday Night Live), Jet Lee, Susur Lee, Hunter Lewis, Tracy Little, Antonio Park, Clare Reichenbach, Amy Schnieder (Jeopardy!), Dwight Smith, Clare Smyth, Mattea Roach (Jeopardy!), Paul Rogalski, David Zilber, and Janet Zuccarini.
