Week 13 of this year’s 18-week NFL season kicks off tonight with the Seattle Seahawks visiting the Dallas Cowboys for some Thursday Night Football.
Both the Cowboys (8-3) and the Seahawks (6-5) are second in their divisions, the NFC East and West, respectively. As the season comes closer to a close and teams begin clinching playoff berths, every win becomes more vital to teams like the Cowboys and the Seahawks.
Per the NFL’s Playoff Picture, if the regular season ended today, both teams would make the playoffs in the fifth and sixth seed positions (of seven total).
Both the Seahawks and the Cowboys played last on Thanksgiving day. The Cowboys won their tilt against the Washington Commanders 45-10, while the Seahawks fell to the 49ers with a final score of 31-13.

The Seahawks head down south to visit the Cowboys at home for tonight’s game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX.
If you want last-minute tickets to the game, you can still find seats available on Vivid Seats.
The last time the Seahawks and Cowboys met was this August, in a preseason tilt that ended in a 22-14 win for the Seahawks. Since then, the Seahawks offense has struggled, and right now, the team is deep in a stretch of games against top NFC teams with a playoff spot in reach.
Tonight, they’ll likely be without their starting running back, Kenneth Walker III, for the second game in a row, as he was listed as doubtful for tonight’s game due to an oblique strain. Instead, rookie Zach Charbonnet will get the start at RB.
Dallas has been especially dominant at home this season, and a win tonight would extend their home win streak to 14 games (they’re undefeated at home this season). The Cowboys set an NFL record during their annual Thanksgiving game last week when cornerback DaRon Bland got his fifth pick-six of the season — an NFL record. QB Dak Prescott also had his third four-touchdown game of the season.
