Amazon has not renewed “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” for Season 3 yet, but showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay told Empire that they’ve fully plotted out a five-season arc for the series and when Amazon initially bought the rights to the series and the universe, they bought the rights for a 50-hour series.
