Missing the Olympics, even though it’s been less than two weeks since the 2024 Summer Olympics closing ceremony? You won’t have to wait much longer to see some of the best athletes in the world compete in Paris because the 2024 Paralympics start today.
Over the next 11 days, over 4,000 athletes will compete in 22 sports with 549 events in total. It all begins tonight with an opening ceremony on the Champs-Élysées at the Place de la Concorde.

At the opening ceremony, four-time wheelchair basketball Paralympian and two-time gold medalist Steve Serio and 2016 Rio Paralympic sitting volleyball gold medalist Nicky Nieves will serve as Team USA’s flag bearers.
As the official broadcast home of the Olympics, NBC will serve as the official broadcast home for the Paralympics as well, with a record number of programming hours set for cable in addition to every single event streaming live on Peacock.
The 2024 Paralympics begin today, August 28, and end on Sunday, September 8.
If you have cable, you can watch the 2024 Paralympics on USA Network (daytime), NBC (select primetime), and CNBC (weekends). USA Network will carry at least nine hours every weekday beginning August 29, including live medal events.
Peacock is the only place where you can watch every single minute of the 2024 Paralympics. While NBC, USA, and other cable channels will broadcast events throughout the 11-day competition, the best way to ensure you get to watch everything you want to is with a Peacock subscription. You’ll also be able to play back full events that you missed.
Peacock has two subscription plans: Peacock Premium and Peacock Premium Plus.
Peacock Premium (ads) | Peacock Premium Plus (ad-free) | |
---|---|---|
Monthly Plan | $7.99/month | $13.99/month |
Annual Plan | $79.99/year | $139.99/year |
Peacock also offers discounted Premium plans for students ($1.99/month) and members of the armed forces ($2.99/month).
Unfortunately, no. Peacock does not offer a free trial.
You can also watch the broadcast portions of the Paralympics on a live TV streaming service. Check out this breakdown of two services below; we’ve listed them in our recommended order.
