Get ready to sink your teeth into all-new shark content. This year’s Shark Week on the Discovery Channel will take place beginning July 7 and will feature 21 hours of content, including shows like 6000lb Shark, Alien Sharks: Ghosts of Japan, and Great White Serial Killer: Sea of Blood, amongst many others.
This year’s host will be actor and former wrestler John Cena, taking the post over from Jason Mamoa, who hosted in 2023.
“I usually do Shark Week from my couch – with lots of snacks, but this year I’m beyond excited to host the week dedicated to the endlessly fascinating, action heroes of the Ocean,” Cena said in a press release. “It’s a wild week of shocking new footage, new discoveries, and lots and lots of teeth.”
Whether you’re a deep-water dweller or prefer to suntan safely on the pool deck, Shark Week is an annual summer tradition everyone can get behind. We don’t want to miss out, and neither should you.
