NextImg:How To Watch NY Yankees 2023 Season Online: Live Stream and Channel Info

After making it all the way to the ALCS in 2022, the New York Yankees are hoping that a few key additions and less injuries will contribute to a deeper playoff run, and hopefully, their 28th World Series title.

After a busy offseason, the Yankees enter the 2023 season with their captain, Aaron Judge, newly resigned to a nine year, $360 million contract. They also added left handed pitcher Carlos Rodon from San Francisco to bolster their pitching rotation.

Spring training wrapped up with the Yankees losing more than they won, but key discoveries, like newly minted shortstop Anthony Volpe, will hopefully turn that record around when the regular season begins on March 30.

With a clean slate and 162 unplayed games ahead of them, the Bronx Bombers once again have their sights set on the playoffs. Trying to figure out how you can catch all the action this season? Since the networks baseball is carried on varies throughout the season, there’s an assortment of different services you’ll need to check out as many games as possible. We’ve got you covered, so read on for all of the ways you can watch the New York Yankees 2023 season.

Most Yankees games air on the YES Network in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut area, but if you don’t live in one of those areas, no live TV streaming service or traditonal cable package will carry it.

Additionally, Fox, Fox Sports 1, MLB Network, ESPN, and TBS carry select Yankees games throughout the year. If you have traditional cable, it’s likely you get most or all of these channels and will be able to tune into the games that air on those networks.

Below, we’ve outlined which live TV streaming services carry which channels to help you find which is best for you.

DirecTV Stream ($75+/month)Sling TV ($55+/month)Fubo ($75+/month)Hulu + Live TV ($70+/month)Youtube TV ($73+/month)
YES Network✔ (only in tri-state)
ESPN
MLB Network
Fox
Fox Sports 1
TBS

If you live in the tri-state area, DirecTV Stream is the best streaming option for you, since you’ll get access to YES Network. All of the other major live TV streaming services lack at least one additional channel that carries Yankees games.

For Yankees fans who live outside of the tri-state area, the best way to watch all of the Yankees games that air on YES Network is with an MLB.TV subscription.

MLB.TV costs $25/month for the all-team plan, which lets you stream every game for every team that’s not part of your local market (essentially, if you can get the channel that carries a team’s games on cable, you can’t watch it on MLB.TV). The service also offers a single-team plan for $130/year. With this plan,

A few streaming services have partnerships with MLB to carry exclusive-to-them games throughout the season, and their schedules feature a few Yankees games.

Last season, Apple TV+ started airing Friday Night Baseball doubleheaders, and they’ll be continuing that going into the 2023 season. These games have no local broadcast restrictions, so no matter where you live, you’ll be able to tune in. Apple TV+ costs $6.99/month.

Apple TV+ released the Friday Night Baseball schedule through June 30; the Yankees will feature on the following Fridays:

Peacock and NBC Sports are teaming up to broadcast Sunday Leadoff games, set to air in the mornings on Sundays to kick off that day of baseball. Peacock costs $4.99/month, and you’ll need to be a subscriber to check out any of their MLB games.

The Yankees will appear in just one Sunday Leadoff game this season: Sunday, May 26 vs. the Cincinnati Reds at 11:35 a. m. ET.

ESPN’s streaming service airs one MLB game for out of market subscribers every day. ESPN+ costs $10/month.

The Yankees are featured twice on their schedule, which is only set through the first half of the season:

Prime Video subscribers can watch 20 exclusive Yankees games this year without local broadcast restrictions. In fact, these games will feature the talent from YES Network, including play-by-play announcer Michael Kay.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to watch the Yankees for free throughout the entire season.

Prime Video, Peacock, and Apple TV plus all come with free trials that range from seven to 30 days, so you could catch a game or two during the length of a free trial.

As always, the New York Yankees will play a 162 game regular season. It kicks off with an afternoon tilt at home against the San Francisco Giants with first pitch set for 1:05 p.m. ET.
