Eddie Murphy is back in action with a brand-new comedy that’s just landed on streaming.

“The Pickup,” a heist comedy featuring Murphy alongside Pete Davidson, is now available to watch free for Prime Video subscribers.

In the film, Murphy and Davidson star as an unlikely pair of armored truck drivers whose routine shift takes a wild turn when they’re targeted by a group of criminals, led by the cunning Zoe (played by Keke Palmer). What starts as a simple job spirals into a chaotic, high-stakes ordeal they’re barely prepared for.

Here’s what to know before watching “The Pickup.”

“The Pickup” was released on Prime Video today, Aug. 6.

“The Pickup” is an Amazon Original, so you’ll need a Prime Video membership to tune in.

If you aren’t a Prime Video subscriber yet, you can get started with a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial, including Prime perks including the Prime Video streaming service, free two-day shipping, exclusive deals, and more. After the free trial, Amazon Prime costs $14.99/month or $139/year.

All 18- to 24-year-olds, regardless of student status, are eligible for a discounted Prime for Young Adults membership as well with age verification. After six months at $0, you’ll pay 50% off the standard Prime monthly price of $14.99/month — just $7.49/month — for up to six years and get all the perks.

As mentioned above, Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, and Keke Palmer lead “The Pickup.”

Eva Longoria, Andrew Dice Clay, Marshawn Lynch, Jack Kesy, Lara Grice, Ismael Cruz Córdova, and Jef Holbrook round out the cast.
