After debuting in theaters over Thanksgiving, Disney’s blockbuster sequel “Moana 2” is now available to stream at home.
In the follow-up to 2016’s “Moana,” three years have passed since the ocean called Moana (Auliʻi Cravalho) journeyed beyond her island’s reef to restore the heart of the goddess Te Fiti. The new film follows Moana as she reunites with her sidekick, the demigod Maui (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), assembles a wayfinding crew, and once again sets out on a grand adventure. Their goal? Find the lost island of Motufetu, break its curse, and reconnect the people of the ocean.
“Moana 2” finished 2024 with $1.02 billion at the worldwide box office, coming in as the third-highest-grossing film of the year and outgrossing the first film.
Now, the time has finally come for “Moana 2” to be released on streaming to be watched and rewatched as often as you like. The film is currently available from video-on-demand (VOD) retailers, including Prime Video.

“Moana 2” will be available for digital purchase on Prime Video. The film costs $29.99 to buy or $24.99 to rent.
While you won’t have to be a paid Amazon Prime member to buy or rent “Moana 2” digitally, you will need at least a free Amazon account; that way, you can return to watch “Moana 2” whenever you want to.
Digital purchases will live in your account indefinitely to be watched and rewatched as much as you (or your kids) would like, while you’ll have 30 days to start a rental and 48 hours to finish it once you’ve pressed play.
