A spot in the title game is on the line as Mexico and Honduras meet in the semifinals of the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup tonight, July 2.

The Mexican national team is the winningest team in Gold Cup history, with nine trophies including the most recent one. Their title defense continues today in the 48th all-time meeting with Honduras. Head-to-head, Mexico has the edge with 29 wins.

El Tricolor advanced with a 2-0 win against Saudi Arabia in the semifinals, while Honduras moved on following a 1-1 draw with Panama that ended in penalty kicks.

The two teams last faced off in the November 2024 CONCACAF Nations League quarterfinals, where Mexico won the series 4-2 on aggregate.

Whichever team wins tonight’s match will advance into the June 6 final against either the United States or Guatemala.
