NextImg:How to Watch Idris Elba, John Cena in New Movie ‘Heads of State’ for Free

Prime Video is kicking off July with an action-packed new original movie debuting just in time for the July Fourth holiday.

Heads of State is the latest original action flick from the streamer; it stars Idris Elba and John Cena as a pair of world leaders in a public rivalry.

Cena plays President Will Derringer, a former action star, while Elba stars as UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke, a former SAS-trained commando. When an international threat emerges, Derringer and Clarke must put aside their differences and work together with MI6 agent Noel (Priyanka Chopra-Jonas) to thwart a conspiracy that threatens the free world.

Here’s everything you need to know to tune into Heads of State.

Heads of State drops on Prime Video at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on July 2.

Heads of State is an Amazon Original, so you’ll need a Prime Video subscription to tune in.

If you’re not already an Amazon Prime subscriber, don’t fret — you can still watch Heads of State for free! Amazon Prime, which includes Prime Video, comes with a 30-day free trial before payment begins. After one month, the subscription costs $14.99/month or $139/year.

Formerly available only to students, all 18-24-year-olds, regardless of student status, are now eligible for a discounted Prime for Young Adults membership with age verification. After six months at $0, you’ll pay 50% off the standard Prime monthly price — just $7.49/month — for up to six years.

You’ll recognize members of the Heads of State cast from shows and movies like Companion, Barry, House of the Dragon, and Ted Lasso.
