The return of the NFL coincides with another TV tradition: the return of HBO’s “Hard Knocks.”
For the first time in the series‘ 24-year history, documentary cameras will follow the Buffalo Bills as they open training camp for the 2025 season. Filming on the five-episode season will continue through preseason ahead of the September 2 finale.
HBO and NFL Films will have an all-access pass to head coach Sean McDermott, general manager Brandon Beane, 2024 NFL MVP quarterback Josh Allen, and an array of veteran and rookie players. The Bills are entering the 2025-26 season as the AFC North champions, a title which they’ve won for the past five seasons. Last season, they fell to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship, marking the fourth consecutive time they lost to the Chiefs in the postseason.
Actor Liev Schreiber will return to narrate the series, as he has since 2008.
Here’s what you need to know about the 2025 installment of “Hard Knocks.”
“Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Buffalo Bills” premieres on August 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
