Following a controversial Selection Sunday in which North Carolina was awarded a bid despite a 1-12 mark in Quad 1 games and a good deal of snubs (notably, UNC athletic director Bubba Cunningham served as the committee chair), the SEC made tournament history with 14 teams receiving bids.
After the First Four, the Round of 64 will kick off on Thursday, March 20. Every game will be televised across four networks; here’s how to make sure you don’t miss a game.
March Madness 2025 begins on March 18 with the First Four play-in round and ends with the National Championship on April 7.
Every game of the 2025 NCAA Tournament will air on one of the following channels: CBS, truTV, TBS, and TNT.
No cable? No problem! If you’ve recently cut the cord, there are options that’ll allow you to watch all of the games. One we recommend is DIRECTV and its Stream via Internet plans. Similarly to a cable subscription, you’ll lock into pricing for two years, but you’ll gain access to live TV via your home Wi-fi and DIRECTV’s Gemini streaming device.
There are four streaming plans available, but you’ll want to subscribe to Choice, which comes with CBS, truTV, TBS, and TNT, to ensure you can watch every game of 2025 March Madness.
In addition to DIRECTV, here are a few more ways you can stream March Madness:

Tuesday, March 18
Wednesday, March 19
Thursday, March 20
Friday, March 21
The second round of the NCAA Tournament will take place on March 22 and 23, and it will air across CBS, truTV, TBS, and TNT.
The Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament will take place on March 27 and 28, and it will air across CBS, truTV, TBS, and TNT.
