The Ryder Cup of the tennis world is here.

The 2025 Laver Cup, which pits a team of Europe’s best tennis players against a team made up of players from the rest of the world, begins this afternoon, Sept. 19.

For the first time in the indoor tennis tournament’s history, the Laver Cup will take place on American soil, at San Francisco’s Chase Center.

Team Europe will be headlined by recent US Open champion Carlos Alcaraz and captained by Yannick Noah. Tennis legend Andre Agassi will make his Laver Cup debut as Team World’s captain, the highest-ranked American in the world, No. 5 Taylor Fritz, will play for Team World.
