Undisputed super-middleweight champion Canelo Álvarez will be facing off against fellow Mexican superstar Jaime Munguía in a highly anticipated match this weekend.

Munguía has had an impressive run at 43-0-0, but the odds for this fight are not in his favor.

The match, which will take place Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, already got off to a shaky start during Wednesday’s (May 1) presser when Álvarez had a heated exchange with Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya, who claimed he “built Canelo” during his 10 years as Álvarez’s promoter. De La Hoya was present at the press conference as Munguía’s co-promoter.

“This idiot, this [guy] here to my left, try not to forget that I was already ‘Canelo’ when I came to the United States and that he only profited from my name,” Álvarez fired back, per ESPN.

De La Hoya later told ESPN that he was “definitely going to sue [Alvarez] for defamation.”

Here’s everything you need to know about the Canelo vs. Munguia fight happening this weekend.

The game will take place Saturday, May 4.
