Final Destination is back, baby, and we can’t wait to see what new irrational fear the upcoming movie, Final Destination Bloodlines—aka Final Destination 6—awakens. (I still refuse to drive behind a log truck on the highway!)
This horror franchise was first launched in 2000, created by Final Destination screenwriter Jeffrey Reddick. The idea behind it is that, thanks to a psychic vision, the protagonist of the movie cheats death. But destiny demands a victim, and so, for the rest of the film, our main characters are plagued by increasingly ridiculous, Mouse Trap-esque freak accidents. If there’s a loose screw or a spilled fluid in the Final Destination universe, it will result in an explosion.
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination Bloodlines is a direct sequel to the fourth movie in the franchise, 2009’s The Final Destination. Kaitlyn Santa Juana stars as Stefani Reyes, a college student who realizes that she and her family never should have existed, because their grandparents cheated death. Now, that b–ch destiny is coming to claim her rightful victims.
If you watch just one Final Destination movie before this new one, make it Final Destination 4, aka The Final Destination. But if you want to catch up on the whole franchise, good news: You can watch all the Final Destination movies streaming on Max. Here’s how to watch all the Final Destination movies in chronological order, on streaming.
