A new documentary series about Karen Read’s ongoing murder trial will premiere tonight, less than one month before her retrial is set to begin.

In Jan. 2022, Read was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for allegedly backing over her boyfriend, police officer John O’Keefe, while dropping him off after a night out in Canton, Mass. and leaving him to die out in the cold.

Read’s 2024 trial lasted two months and 74 witnesses testified during it; her lawyers argued that Read was framed to cover up that O’Keefe’s officer friends actually committed the murder. The trial sparked a cult following nationwide.

Ultimately, Read’s argument that she was framed swayed enough jury members that the trial ended with a hung jury and a declared mistrial.

Now, “A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read” will air on ID less than a month before her retrial begins on April 1.

“A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read” premieres tonight, March 17, at 9:00 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery (ID). It will air over three nights, with new episodes coming on Tuesday and Wednesday, also at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Five episodes of “A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read” will air over three nights.

If you don’t have a cable subscription with access to ID, you’ll need a live TV streaming service to watch “A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read” for free. We recommend Philo, which comes with a seven day free trial before $28/month payments begin.

You can also take advantage of free trials of DIRECTV Stream and Hulu + Live TV to watch “A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read.” The free trials are five and three days long, respectively.

“A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read” will be available to stream live on two other services: Sling TV and Max

Both of Sling TV‘s streaming plans come with Investigation Discovery, so you’ll be able to get it for just $23 with Sling’s 50% off your first month promotion that’s currently running.

Max will also be airing the episodes of “A Body in the Snow: The Trial of Karen Read” at the same time they air on ID. Subscriptions to Max begin at $9.99/month.
