A total eclipse is coming in the sign of undertows and the unconscious mind.
At 2:08 AM on September 8, we will experience a total lunar eclipse at 15°22 of Pisces.
“The cosmos is gifting us a profound moment of transformation as the full Harvest Moon aligns with a total Lunar Eclipse in Pisces,” Hong Kong-based certified counselor and award-winning astrologist Letao Wang told The Post.
A total lunar eclipse happens during a full Moon when the Earth is exactly between the Sun and the Moon. The Moon passes through the shadow cast by Earth and turns our pockmarked mirror in the sky a reddish color.
During a lunar eclipse, the Moon appears to turn red or orange because the sunlight that hits the Moon is filtered through Earth’s atmosphere. This is similar to how the sky turns red during sunsets when the sun drops below the horizon.
Wang notes that eclipses are potent moments of release and revelation, often coinciding with endings, breakthroughs and karmic turning points.
“They illuminate what has been hidden, urging us to let go of what no longer serves our highest path.”
Because this eclipse is eclipsing in emo, whimsy as law, Pisces, a sign ruled by Neptune, the planet of dreams, delusions, spirituality and surrender, there is a heightened sense of letting go and getting loose.
“A Lunar Eclipse in Pisces amplifies our psychic sensitivity, dissolving rigid structures and inviting us into deeper mystical awareness.”
The red tint leads people to refer to the astronomical event as a Blood Moon.
He noted that this sensitivity may stir tension and entanglement between oppositional forces.
“Work versus personal life, logic versus intuition, discipline versus surrender. It’s a call to find balance between earthly responsibilities and soulful introspection.”
Lunar eclipses are notorious for cueing chaos, but blessedly, as Wang explained, this year’s eclipse will be more about doling out good fortune than hard knocks.
“As a North Node eclipse, it encourages meaningful connections with like-minded souls, helping us grow through shared wisdom and collective insight. Adding to its auspicious nature, the eclipse at Pisces 15° forms a harmonious trine with Jupiter in Cancer, infusing the atmosphere with optimism, expansion and benevolent opportunities.”
Adding to the good is that during the eclipse, Mercury, our planet of communication and communion, will be at home and utterly exalted in the sign of Virgo.
“This alignment invites profound revelations, vivid dreams and synchronistic signs that illuminate our next steps. Rather than turbulence, this eclipse offers a chance to align with serendipity and spiritual guidance.”
Wang has graciously shared his tips for embracing and maximizing the energy of this eclipse.
As this eclipse is going down in the liminal AF, butterfly kisses, acid trips and dreamscapes sign of Pisces, Wang assures that keeping track of the scenes you paint in your sleep could offer insight in your waking life. “Your dreams may hold divine messages at this time.”
Pisces is also the sign of altered states and the unconscious mind, making it a fine time to detox mentally and physically to clear the way for clairvoyance.
“Release habits that cloud your intuition,” Wang recommended.
Due to the intense nature of an eclipse cycle, alcohol and other intoxicants are cautioned against.
“Collaboration brings growth,” shared Wang, and because Pisces is the sign of boundlessness, this eclipse supports energetic exchange both material and immaterial.
As the eclipse is happening in the most mystical sign in the zodiac, it brings with it the summons to stay open to mystical experiences. Wang assures that tools like meditation and prayer are potent paths to communing with the unseen and the fated.
“This Harvest Moon Eclipse is a rare opportunity to align with your soul’s purpose. Surrender to its
magic and let the universe guide you.”
