NextImg:How Shannon Sharpe, Skip Bayless handled breakup on live ‘Undisputed’

What breakup?

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless opened “Undisputed” on FS1 on Thursday breaking down the 2023 NBA Finals — and not the impending split of their on-air partnership, which will end when the Finals do.

Sources told The Post’s Ryan Glasspiegel on Wednesday that Sharpe was leaving the show after agreeing to a buyout with Fox Sports.

The tension between Sharpe and Bayless has been ongoing for some time, including a high-profile dustup after Bayless’ incendiary Damar Hamlin tweet.

On Thursday’s show, though, the duo participated in a standard debate with voices measured.

Sharpe was on the side of the favored Nuggets, while Bayless made his case for the Heat pulling an upset in six games.

While Sharpe has not publicly spoken on his decision to leave the show, he did like a tweet that referenced Bayless being jealous of the NFL Hall of Famer’s broadcasting popularity.

“Their relationship got progressively worse over the last 2 maybe 3 years because skip fought for him to be on that show but I feel like skip couldn’t stand Shannon succeeding without and that’s when skip was taking pot shots on air,” the tweet from the fan read.

It is unclear what Fox Sports’ plan is for the show.

The two have been paired together since 2016 after Bayless left ESPN for Fox Sports.
