Jason and Kylie Kelce’s now-infamous weekend run-in in the parking lot of a Jersey Shore restaurant came after the unruly woman repeatedly banged on the window of their Tesla.
According to PhillyChitChat, the Kelces were idling in their car and waiting for a spot to open up at Steve & Cookies by the Sea in Margate City on Saturday night, when the woman approached the car and attempted to get their attention by banging on the truck.
When the Kelces declined to take a photo with her family, things escalated.
“The women [sic] went ballistic after not getting her way,” the outlet’s Hugh E. Dillon wrote.
That led to the viral clip that hit the internet on Tuesday, with Kylie Kelce engaged in a screaming match with the woman while another man — reportedly with the Kelces — separated them.
“You’ll never be allowed in this town again,” the woman shouted at Kylie, who stood her ground and fired back, “I can smell the alcohol on your breath, you’re embarrassing yourself!”
The squabble was not enough to ruin the Kelces’ night, per Dillon.
“People told me the couple had a lovely evening, laughing and enjoying their meals,” he wrote. “A few people walked by their table to say hi, the only one who stopped by was Michael Rubin, the Fanatics CEO, but I haven’t had a double confirmation on him being there.”
The public response has overwhelmingly been in the Kelces’ favor — including some words of wisdom to Kylie’s combatant from one of Jason’s ex-Eagles teammates.
“Barking up the wrong tree lady lol,” Chris Long, a former defensive end, wrote in response to the video on X.
Neither of the Kelces have publicly addressed the incident, though it could be fodder for their massive social media followings if they choose to.
Kylie has more than two million followers on Instagram, while Jason is up to 2.4 million, not including the wildly successful “New Heights” podcast he co-hosts with brother Travis Kelce, a superstar tight end of the Chiefs and the boyfriend of pop megastar Taylor Swift.
They do have bigger things to tend to with Jason settling into a busy post-playing career.
The Super Bowl-winning center is set to join ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” coverage this season.
