Kayla Nicole had zero interest in commenting on her ex-boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s engagement with mega pop star Taylor Swift.
The host of “The Pre-Game” podcast dodged the subject during a red carpet interview with a Daily Mail reporter, who directly asked Nicole, “Do you have any comment on Travis’ engagement?”
Nicole replied, “Oh, no, no, no, but I’m really happy to be here at Champion, though! This is a dope party.”
The influencer, who was smirking and awkwardly looked away, attended the House of Champion Fashion Week event by Sports Illustrated in New York on Thursday night.
Nicole and Kelce, 35, dated on and off from 2017 to 2022 before calling it quits.
The three-time Super Bowl champ moved on with Taylor Swift in the summer of 2023.
Kelce and Swift announced their engagement Aug. 26 on Instagram, sharing a carousel of photos taken in a garden filled with pink and white flowers in the backyard of his Leawood, Kansas, estate.
Nicole confirmed she is single when the Daily Mail reporter said “a lot of males are asking if you’re single or not.”
Nicole, who seemed surprised, replied, “Really?” adding, “Tell them yes I am, whoever is asking, absolutely!”
When asked about her type of man, Nicole explained that she’s looking for a “spontaneous” family man.
“Oh, I love a very honest man,” she said. “A man of really great character. Someone who likes to have fun, spontaneous, great relationship with their family, has really good girlfriends — the list is long.”
Earlier this year, the “Special Forces” alum explained that she changed her dating habits in order to protect herself and those close to her.
“I don’t think I ever want to publicly date another man until I am absolutely sure that they are my long-term person,” Kayla said on her podcast in April. “Just because I want to protect the things that mean most to me.
“And sometimes when you’re a little too open… and transparent, you open yourself up to a world of opinion a world of entitlement, people want answers.
“People think that you owe them an explanation about every single thing in your relationship.. I just want to be able to love without the pressure.”
