God’s Love We Deliver is New York City’s only nonprofit provider of medically tailored meals and nutrition counseling for people living with life-altering illnesses. With the help of the community and thousands of dedicated volunteers, God’s Love will deliver 3.9 million medically tailored meals to nearly 13,000 individuals and families in all five boroughs this year. Completely free of charge to clients, caregivers, and dependents, the meals are, quite literally, made with love.
As students return to school, they need a healthy breakfast to start the day. Students cannot reach their full potential if their family health and circumstances contribute to a lack of nutrition. That’s why God’s Love delivers FREE breakfast kits to their clients’ children.
The breakfast kits are delivered to clients’ homes and contain items like protein-rich milk, nutrient-packed fruit and kid-friendly cereal. Each kit is designed by on-staff Registered Dietitian Nutritionists to help each child do their best at school – while relieving a significant burden for clients who might be struggling to ensure they have the right nutritious food to succeed.
You can make a difference! Sponsor a breakfast for a student who has a parent living with a serious illness at www.glwd.org/makebreakfastcount.

Casilda first heard about God’s Love We Deliver after seeing delivery vans in her neighborhood. When she received her cancer diagnosis, Casilda knew exactly who to call for help. Much to her relief, God’s Love would also provide meals for her daughter, Camilla, who says, “My mom can’t cook anymore so it’s a big help to her that I can take care of my own meals, so she doesn’t have to worry about what I’m going to eat.”
This spring, Jennie’s busy life being a mom to her swimming-gymnast-piano playing eight-year-old daughter Ariella came to a standstill upon receiving her cancer diagnosis. Now, Jennie undergoes chemotherapy regularly. Her husband works full-time. Before receiving meals from God’s Love, Jennie’s sister traveled hours to help prepare food for their family until one day she became injured and was no longer able to. That’s when Jennie’s social worker connected her to God’s Love We Deliver: “Getting meals for myself and my daughter is truly life-saving. It not only helps us, but also relieves a burden for my sister, who can recover from her injury and spend time with her children again too. The food is really good and healthy. Ariella is a picky eater, but she loves the meals, too.”
