One thing is for sure when it comes to former Today anchor Hoda Kotb: She is not afraid to shoot her shot.

Fans have long rooted for Kotb, who is a single mother of two, to begin dating Yellowstone actor Kevin Costner since he last appeared on Today With Hoda & Jenna in 2024. According to fans – and Kotb’s former co-host, Jenna Bush Hager – the pair shared some serious chemistry during their interview… And Kotb is not doing much to dispel the rumors.

“Isn’t it sort of weird that he always ends up where I am?” Kotb recently told Us Weekly when she was questioned about the fan speculation. “I mean, I’m just living my life, and there he is. It just keeps happening.”

She then teased, “When is it not a coincidence anymore? That’s what I was wondering.”

Kotb first made her interest in Costner clear during a July 2024 appearance on Watch What Happens Live when a fan questioned her about him.

“How do you feel about viewers shipping you and Kevin Costner after he appeared on Today last month, and have the two of you connected since?” the fan asked.

Kotb appeared shocked by the question, claiming she “never heard that, not one time,” before she coyly replied, “Well, if the viewers want it…”

The fan speculation spurred Bush Hager into action as she vowed to get the celebs set up on a date.

Kotb initially denied that she had been “flirting” with the actor, but Bush Hager and the Today crew already had a romantic montage prepared that showed the pair looking quite smitten with each other during his appearance on the show.

And when Costner and Kotb were later photographed together at the Super Bowl in New Orleans after Kotb’s retirement from NBC, Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie were enthusiastically supportive.

“New couple alert cc @jennabushager,” Guthrie commented on Kotb’s post. Bush Hager also replied, writing, “We have been waiting for this moment.”

It seems like everyone’s on board for Hollywood’s new it couple.
