Kathy Hochul’s remarks to a mostly black audience about not spending government checks on alcohol was so racist that it defies belief (“Backlush at gov,” Sept. 11).
If a Republican governor said that, there would be riots in the streets. However, because she’s a liberal Democrat, she gets a pass. Hochul is a feckless, incompetent moron. Black voters should keep her remarks in mind when she runs for re-election.

As an Irish Catholic, Gov. Hochul should know about stereotypes.
Yet she condescendingly suggests in a black church that a rebate check not be spent on a bottle of “Colt 45.” Perhaps she should try not preaching.

Attention, motormouth Kathy Hochul. Who do you think you are, insulting Buffalo parishioners like that? That was the most racist thing I’ve heard from her ilk since President Biden compared students’ intelligence based on income. Horrific and embarrassing.

Hochul has no apology to make to the predominantly black parishioners of the True Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo for her outrageous remark.
When referring to the promised “state inflation refund checks” she urged the congregation, “Don’t stop by the liquor store. Buy something for the kids. Buy them some food.”
In next year’s election, Hochul will not lose a single vote for her faux pas. The black clergy leaders will do the usual, subtly or openly, encouraging their congregants to overwhelmingly vote Democratic, and such insults will be ignored.

Let’s see — Gov. Hochul told black parishioners not to spend the money that the state is sending them on booze. To the black community: This is what you get from the Democratic Party that believes they own you.
What a total insult by a half-minded individual who truly believes what she said. You see, the true racists are those you believe want to help you. I hope you remember these insults on Election Day and end the one-party state.

Never have I praised anything that comes out of the garbage at MSNBC — until now, after it fired political analyst Matthew Dowd for his insensitive remarks regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk (“Left quick to blame right for violence,” Sept. 11).
Now CNN should show the same good sense, and let go of racebaiter Van Jones.

Matthew Dowd is a disgusting man who worked for a mainstream liberal network. He was recently fired for his horrible words regarding the shooting of a fellow American.
Charlie Kirk was a conservative, who believed in freedom of speech. Matthew Dowd is a liberal who pushes politicians with the same agenda as the cowards who blew up The World Trade Center.

Former MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd meant exactly what he said. His vile comments implied that Charlie Kirk’s rhetoric and ideology were the cause of his own death.
I would like to ask Dowd: What is so terrible about advocating for traditional family values and free speech, even for dissenting views? Bravo to MSNBC for firing Dowd for his disrespectful comments. He deserved it.
