A hilarious calendar featuring pub regulars in awkward racy poses around their hometown has been released.
The brave group of working men from the British town of Leek proudly showcased their beer guts as they stripped naked to raise cash for prostate cancer research.
The crew, who call themselves the Leek Calendar Boys, protected their modesty with a boxing glove, a traffic cone and even a chainsaw as they posed for their Full Monty-style calendar.
The group of 20 men got the idea while sitting in the Blue Mugge Pub in Staffordshire, England, chatting about fundraising over a pint after most of them had experience with cancer.
Organiser Nigel Maycock, aka Mr. October, said: “It’s a group effort, yeah, but it stemmed from something we were talking about in the pub.
“We were on about the calendar girls, raising money, and a lot of us have experienced something to do with cancer.
“And then before you know it, it goes from a couple of pints of ‘shall we do it, shouldn’t we do it. Well let’s do it’. And that was it.”
The calendar includes butcher Pete Lymer, Mr March, covering his modesty with a sausage while landlord Paul Harrison, Mr June, shields his private parts with a mug.
Other highlights include Mark O’Shaughnessy, Mr February, utilising a traffic cone and chainsaw while Les Critchlow, Mr July, covers himself up with a drum kit.
Mark Brough, Mr April, posed with a stuffed pheasant overlooking the Staffordshire countryside, while Andrew Cordon, Mr December, used his pet ferrets to shield his bits from the camera.
Nigel Walwyn, Mr October, posed behind a stone lion in the town centre.
He said: “I was a bit taken aback at first. But then afterwards, let’s go and get it done. I’ve mainly done it for my family.
“My brother has prostate cancer and I have a mate who has prostate cancer, so I thought this would be the ideal time.”
Mr. June, Blue Mugge landlord Paul, shielded himself with a blue mug that he said his father found in the attic — leading him to change the name of the pub from The Queen’s Arms.
“There’s also a smaller one there that I could have used to cover it up, but we went for the big one. We thought it might be better.
“The people of Leek will always get behind things. Anything that’s in the community, people’ll pull together and try to do the best for our town.”
Andy Keates, Mr January, posed inside a local gym, using a boxing glove to cover himself.
He added: “It was freezing cold, so it obviously shrank up.”
