Hero, zeros and full blitz from the Jets’ 31-21 win over the Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
Breece Hall returned to Denver, where he tore his ACL last season, and ran for 177 yards on 22 carries including a 72-yard touchdown. Hall carried the offense and showed he is all the way back from his injury.
Sean Payton opened his mouth this summer and the Jets made him eat his words on Sunday. The Broncos’ coach should worry about his own team, which looks like a total mess right now.
Quincy Williams secured the win with his strip-sack of Russell Wilson with 29 seconds left. Bryce Hall scooped up the fumble and scored a touchdown to ice the game. Williams is having an All-Pro season.
7.3: Yards the Jets averaged per rushing play. Hall broke some big runs and the offensive line pushed around the Broncos front seven.
“It was gritty. It wasn’t pretty.”
— Jets coach Robert Saleh on the win
