Hero, zeros and full blitz from the Giants’ 24-3 loss to the Seahawks on Monday night.
DK Metcalf offered a “Welcome to the NFL” moment to rookie cornerback Deonte Banks by acting like a play was over as quarterback Geno Smith scrambled.
Smith fired the ball to Metcalf, who unfroze with Banks’ back to the ball and made a diving touchdown catch.
When it finally looked like the woebegone Giants’ offense might have something going, Daniel Jones didn’t see an open receiver in the end zone and threw a 97-yard pick-six to Devon Witherspoon.
Backup quarterback Drew Lock replaced an injured Smith in the second quarter and led the Seahawks on a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive. Smith returned to start the second half.
