Heroes, zeros from the Giants’ 34-7 loss to the Falcons on Sunday:

Atlanta running back Bijan Robinson allowed the Falcons to control the game and keep the pressure off rookie quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Robinson rushed for 94 yards on 22 carries and scored two rushing TDs. 

Michael Penix Jr., making his first start after the team benched $180 million veteran Kirk Cousins last week, completed 18 of 27 for 202 yards and had one INT, but that was the fault of tight end Kyle Pitts, who bobbled the ball away.

Penix wasn’t spectacular, but he didn’t need to be.

He was efficient, and the better of the two QBs who played in the game. 

Drew Lock threw two pick-sixes and lost a fumble on a sack.

Other than that, Lock, who completed 22 of 39 for 210 yards and a TD pass to running back Tyrone Tracy II, was just fine.

The first pick-six, to safety Jesse Bates III, completely changed the momentum of the game.

The second one was a deflected pass, but the game was essentially decided by then.
