You should check in on your Helluva Boss friends because after this weekend, they’re not okay.
The Helluva Boss team appeared at the LVL expo in Las Vegas from April 26-28 and released tons of new information and teasers about the future of the hit webseries, including the Season 2 trailer.
The show, created by Vivienne Medrano, already aired the first seven episodes of the season but has been on hiatus since the release of Episode 7, “Mammon’s Magnificent Musical Mid-Season Special,” on Oct. 29, 2023.
Set in the same universe as Hazbin Hotel and taking place in Hell, the webseries follows the eccentric employees of the assassination company I.M.P, which stands for Immediate Murder Professionals.
Blitzo (Brandon Rogers) — pronounced “Blitz” — runs the company with the assistance of demon prince Stolas (Bryce Pinkham), who allows him to use his Grimoire to access the living world and complete their jobs in exchange for monthly romantic tysts.
Other characters include weapons expert Moxxie (Richard Horvitz), assassin Millie (Vivian Nixon), Blitzo’s childhood best friend/clown Fizzaroli (Alex Brightman), and more.
Over the series, Stolas and Blitzo have developed complicated feelings for one another with Stolas being more clear of his desires. A previous episode of Season 2 sees Stolas obtaining a powerful crystal that will allow Blitzo to continue visiting the living world without his book, thus nullifying their arrangement, however he has yet to give it to him.
The trailer, which includes release dates and episode titles for the remaining five episodes of the season, teases trouble ahead for the problematic couple as Stolas prepares to give Blitzo the crystal on the night of the Full Moon. “This transactional thing we have, it’s not right anymore,” he tells Blitzo. “I just want someone to care, I want someone to want me.”
(Thanks, my heart is breaking!)

Immediately after, Bitzo says in a voiceover, “You fucks think you can do this every time, like you can just play with our feelings because we’re smaller and not as important.”
The trailer continues to show flashes of assignments that I.M.P. takes on, an introduction of more Goetia characters, the angel cherubs teaming with the human D.H.O.R.K.S. organization that previously captured evidence of the demons visiting the living world, Stolas performing a musical number alongside Blitzo’s ex-girlfriend Verosika (Cristina Vee), and Stolas’s daughter Octavia (Barrett Wilbert Weed) accusing her father of not loving her.
Blitzo seems to have an emotional awakening after reflecting on the hurtful way he’s treated the people in his life, and he says in a voiceover while looking at Stolas, “I don’t want to be this way, not forever.” But it’s the final line in the trailer — delivered by Stolas — that delivers the hardest gut punch: “Thank you, Blitz, for making me so happy… if only for a little while.”
Literally, what the eff?
The trailer also reveals the Hellaverse debuts of John Waters, Harvey Guillén, and Patrick Page, as well as the titles of upcoming episodes with the months they’ll be released: “The Full Moon” in May, “Apology Tour” in June, “Ghostfuckers” in October, “Mastermind” in November, and “Sinsmas” in December.
Clearly the situation among the show’s most popular ship, dubbed Stolitz, is rough and it’s unclear if their relationship will survive the events of Season 2. Maybe the two will patch things up before the season’s Christmas episode or or perhaps there’s a longer road ahead.
In the meantime, fans can tune in to the first Helluva Boss short, released on April 26 with the caption, “We want to bring everyone more Helluva content between episodes and there’s just too many fun adventures to have with these characters- so enjoy the first of many Helluva shorts!” And if you need me, I’ll be watching shaky videos of the the Stolitz duet in “The Full Moon” from LVL Up on a loop.
