


Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra and his wife, Nikki Spoelstra, have finalized their divorce, according to the Miami Herald.
“We have made the difficult yet amicable decision to jointly file to formally end our marriage,” the ex-couple said in a joint statement to the Miami Herald. “We are both grateful for our relationship and remain fully committed to co-parenting our children and continuing to make them our shared priority. We appreciate everyone’s support as we move to the next stage of our lives and thank you for respecting our family’s privacy.”
Erik and Nikki had been married for seven years, but had separated recently, according to the Sun Sentinel.
They have three children together: 5-year-old Santiago, 3-year-old Dante and 1-year-old Ruby.
Erik, 53, is in his 16th year as the head coach of the Heat and has been a member of the organization for 29 years.
He has guided the Heat to two titles as a head coach and another as an assistant.
The Heat have reached the NBA Finals six times under his stewardship.
Nikki, 36, is a former Miami Heat dancer and hosts “The Know with Nikki Spo” podcast.
