Flying snakes aren’t only found on planes.

Footage captured the heart-pounding moment that a snake slithered over a running ceiling fan, before suddenly flying at the unsuspecting camera person.

A video of the skin-crawling incident has amassed over 24 million views on Instagram.

The freaky footage, taken in an unspecified location, shows the unidentified serpent slithering down from a hole in the ceiling onto a whirring ceiling fan.

It’s like the herpetological equivalent of Tom Cruise rappelling into a villain’s booby-trapped lair in the “Mission Impossible” movies.

Unfortunately, the reptile’s attempt to navigate the air conditioning device proves unsuccessful.

It slithers partway across the fan, before colliding with one of the rotating blades, which sends it rocketing in the direction of the videographer.

The video concludes with the flying snake striking the recording device, whereupon the videographer hollers in shock and tries to escape, causing the camera to get all shaky like in a found footage horror film.

Needless to say, the clip sends chills down Instagram’s collective spine.

“This the kinda shit that jolts you awake in nightmares,” exclaimed one viewer, while another wrote, “360 degrees of opportunity and it went in his direction,”

“Came right at him like a movie,” said a third.

“Snake got his s–t rocked,” marveled one commenter.

This isn’t the first time a serpent has infiltrated someone’s domicile of late.
