Heart-wrenching video shows the moment a veteran NYC crossing guard was fatally struck by a dump truck while helping pedestrians cross a busy street outside a Queens elementary school.
Beloved crossing guard Krystyna Naprawa is seen in the footage wearing a yellow raincoat and guiding students and others across Atlantic Avenue at Woodhaven Avenue in Woodhaven about 8 a.m. on Oct. 20.
The dump truck slowly pulls up behind Naprawa and pushes her to the ground.
The truck’s wheels then run her over, the video shows.
Naprawa, 63, had served as a crossing guard since 2010.

She died on the scene, about 1,000 feet from PS 60.
The driver, Hector Yepes, 39, remained on the scene and was hit with a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian and failure to use due care.
Dozens of members of the NYPD — which hires and supervises school crossing guards — lined up to salute Naprawa as her body was moved to the medical examiner’s office in Manhattan, video shows.
