The Hamas terrorists who attacked Israel were promised $10,000 and an apartment if they captured hostages and brought them back to Gaza, one of the jihadists revealed in an interrogation video.
“In Gaza, whoever brings a hostage gets a grant – an apartment and $10,000,” the terrorist says in footage released by Israel’s security agency Shin Bet, the Jerusalem Post reported.
“The instructions were to kidnap elderly women and children … clear the houses and kidnap as many prisoners as possible,” he tells the interrogator.
Another terrorist claimed he was scolded by his commander for shooting a dead woman — because it was a waste of bullets.
“Her body was lying on the floor. I shot her, and my commander yelled at me for wasting bullets on a dead body,” he says, according to the recording of one of six terrorists interrogated.
The terrorists made it clear that they were not to distinguish between civilians and soldiers when murdering people during their rampage.
One terrorist described entering a house after his comrades had already shot a resident.
“Two [terrorists] went into the house. … We heard voices inside. Another two [terrorists] came in. There was one [Israeli] lying on the floor next to the door. I don’t know if he was dead, but there was blood next to him,” he says.
“Inside there was one wounded man … I think a whole family. In their pajamas. The wounded man was in his underwear. A woman came out wearing a dress … then another with a dress. [Then] a boy and a girl,” the terrorist says.
”We went to the next house. From there, they took out a woman. An old woman,” he adds.
He is then asked if the civilians were used as human shields and answers, “Yes.”
Another terrorist, who was at the Kibbutz Be’eri massacre, says, “When I entered the town, I saw two [terrorists] on a motorbike. They took a woman about 60 to 65 years old [with them] on the motorbike.”
The terrorists also described how they used smoke to force people out of their shelter and of shooting pets.
Each of them was asked if what they did was permissible in Islam.
“No. Islam does not permit the killing of women and children,” one replies, echoing what the others also admitted.
