NextImg:Hamas official storms out of BBC interview when pressed on slaughtering Israeli civilians

A top Hamas official stormed out of a TV interview after he was asked how his bloodthirsty terrorist group justifies slaughtering innocent Israeli civilians in their sleep.

Ghazi Hamad, a member of Hamas’ political bureau, used a Thursday interview with the BBC’s Hugo Bachega to try to downplay the Oct. 7 massacre of at least 1,400 mostly civilians, including burned and butchered babies.

“There was no command to kill any civilians,” Hamad claimed, attempting to brush off the mass murders as the result of “clashes and confrontations” after terrorists crashed through barriers and paraglided into Israel.

His interviewer refused to accept his ludicrous claim, telling Hamad: “It’s not confrontation — you invaded houses.”

“I can tell you that we didn’t have any intention or decision to kill the civilians,” the Hamas official again claimed despite the overwhelming mass of evidence.

The BBC’s Middle East correspondent again pushed back, asking again: “How do you justify killing people as they sleep, families? How do you justify killing hundreds of people in …?”

At that point, Hamad interrupted his interviewer, pulling off the microphone attached to his jacket and throwing it to the side.

“I want to stop this interview,” he said to avoid being challenged further.

Israeli officials have previously provided evidence suggesting Hamas terrorists had, indeed, planned to kill civilians in their surprise attack.

A handwritten note found on the body of a Hamas terrorist just a few days ago encouraged the jihadists to remove the heads, hearts, and livers of their Israeli victims.

“You must sharpen the blades of your swords and be pure in your intentions before Allah. Know that the enemy is a disease that has no cure, except beheading and removing the hearts and livers. Attack them!” the note reads in Arabic, according to the Jerusalem Post.

The orders came from Hamas leadership, which declared the religious importance of killing Jews and provided inspiration from historical Muslim leaders who massacred men, sold women and children into slavery, and looted cities.

“There was no command to kill any civilians,” Hamad claimed during the interview.

In an audio recording, the Israeli Defense Forces posted on X Tuesday, an unidentified Hamas terrorist could also be heard telling his parents to quickly open his latest WhatsApp message so they could “see all those” he had murdered.

“Look how many I killed with my own hands! Your son killed Jews!”

He even bragged to his father that he was using a phone stolen from a Jewish woman he had killed in Mefalsim, a kibbutz not far from the Gaza border.

At that point, Hamad said “I want to stop this interview,” pulling off the microphone attached to his jacket and throwing it to the side, according to the video.

“I killed her and I killed her husband,” he said. “I killed 10 with my own hands! Dad, 10 with my own hands!”

Israeli Defense Forces have also claimed that Hamas members they were able to apprehend admitted they were given explicit orders to carry out atrocities on Israeli civilians, according to the Times of Israel.

One terrorist even allegedly said they were told to kill everyone they saw, including by beheading their victims and cutting off their legs.

In total, around 1,400 Israelis were killed in the Oct. 7 attack.
