Like many of Hallmark’s heartbreaking relationship stories, Peacock and Hallmark have decided to split.
According to TVLine, after three wholesome years together, NBCUniversal and Hallmark’s contract will end on May 1st, and Hallmark shows will be exclusively available on their cable channel and streaming platform, Hallmark+.
TVLine found the breaking news was initially revealed by Vulture West Coast Editor Joe Adalian on his BlueSky handle @tvmojoe.bsky.social, who stated, “SCOOP! If you’ve been streaming Hallmark shows and movies via Peacock, heads up: As of May 1st, Peacock and Hallmark will be ending their content sharing arrangement. Shows like THE WAY HOME and WHEN CALLS THE HEART will be leaving, and new movies will not stream next-day. Live feeds gone, too.”
Fans of Hallmark’s favorite shows are forced to purchase another streaming plan.
While there is no direct reason why the contract will not be renewed, TVLine reported that Hallmark might focus on further developing their platform.
This means Hallmark’s fan favorite When Calls The Heart, which was recently renewed for a 13 season with a premiere in 2026, will be exclusively on Hallmark+.
