When it comes to wearing iconic red carpet looks, Halle Berry’s certainly earned her stripes.

And on Monday, the star walked the 2025 Met Gala red carpet in one of her most daring looks to date: a sheer striped dress with a plunging neckline that left little to the imagination.

Designed by LaQuan Smith, the mermaid-style gown is fully see-trough, save for several particularly strategically-paced stripes.

She accessorized the look with a black veil and a matching cropped jacket and styled her hair in an elegant updo for the occasion.

The “Monster Ball” star also added extra glamor with a diamond necklace and matching earrings.

This year’s Met Gala theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”, which pays homage to the fashion of black dandy men and “the importance of clothing in style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora,” per the Met.

While Berry has graced the cover of Vogue multiple times, this year marks just her second-ever Met Gala.

She first attended the exclusive event back in 2017, rocking another almost completely see-through jumpsuit from Atelier Versace.

The Academy Award-winning actress is no stranger to leaving fans in sheer amazement with her skin-baring styles.

Just this awards season alone, she attended the Oscars in a sparkling strapless Christian Siriano gown almost entirely covered in cut-out mirror embellishments.

And last November she closed out the Ellie Saab runway show wearing the same floral dress she wore when she became the first black woman to take home the Oscar for best actress in 2002.

Now, she’s turning the Met steps into her catwalk.
