NextImg:Groom’s ‘father-dogter’ dance with Labrador steals wedding spotlight

She’s got two left feet — but she made it work.

A viral video captured the moment a couple’s labrador stole the show during their nuptials after the groom performed an adorable “father-dogter” dance with their beloved pooch, Rosy.

Rosy stole the show at the wedding in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on April 29, when the newly married man, Ben, picked up the pooch, cradling her as they danced to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” at the reception, drawing cheers and applause from those attending.

The bride, Julie Filreis, filmed the sweet, 2-minute serenade, saying their loving pup is definitely a “daddy’s girl.”

They got the idea for a “father-dogter” dance during a holiday party when Julie’s now-hubby Ben picked up Rosy and danced with her in his arms.

Julie told Storyful that after seeing the adorable interaction, they decided to dedicate a dance to Rosy at their pending wedding.

“Rosy is the happiest dog, and she is particularly a daddy’s girl,” Julie gushed, adding that their fur baby also played the role of ring bearer during the ceremony, describing her as their “world.”

“The ‘father-dogter’ dance was definitely the biggest hit and a first for everyone,” she said.

In 2022, a Michigan couple’s dog stole the show as a “groomsdog” on their big day, after the groom made their pet pooch his “best boy” at their wedding.

The tuxedo-wearing canine, Weller, stood beside the dog-loving couple at the altar, with the bride and groom gushing that it was the perfect day with their canine bestie.

“We are those annoying dog people who post pictures and videos of Weller all over our social media, so Weller has a mini fan base with our friends and family,” said the groom, Shane.
