NextImg:GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert, mystery man ejected from ‘Beetlejuice’ musical after ‘causing a disturbance’

GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert was tossed out of a musical over the weekend over ‘unruly’ behavior throughout the show, according to a report.

Boebert, 36, was attending “Beetlejuice: The Musical” at the Temple Hoyne Bell Theater in Denver Sunday evening along with an unidentified male after fellow audience members complained the two were being loud.

Theater employees accused the two of “vaping, singing, recording and ‘causing a disturbance’ during the performance,” The Denver Post reported.

During intermission, the two were confronted by ushers who warned them of their behavior.

The outlet reported that security received “another complaint about the patrons being loud and at the time (they) were recording” five minutes into the second act.

“They told me they would not leave. I told them that they need to leave the theater and if they do not, they will be trespassing,” an usher told the newspaper. “The patrons said they would not leave. I told them I would (be) going to get Denver Police. They said go get them.”

Boebert, the second-term congresswoman serving Colorado’s 3rd District, and her guest were, again, approached by two security workers and escorted away from their seats during the show, security footage obtained by 9News shows.

As she was being escorted out of the theater, Boebert stopped several times, once to take a selfie while other times to turn around and seemingly yell at the security guards while wagging her finger.

When they reached a vestibule of the theater, Boebert reportedly resisted from exiting while making asking the workers “‘do you know who I am,’ ‘I am on the board’ (and) ‘I will be contacting the mayor,'” according to the incident report viewed by the Denver Post.

Police arrived at the theater and waited in the lobby until Boebert and her sidekick left.

The pair were later seen walking hand-in-hand after leaving the venue with the mystery man spinning Boebert as they walked through an empty plaza.

Although the incident report didn’t identify the two people who were removed from the theater, Boebert and her 2024 reelection campaign both confirmed that the congresswoman was kicked out of the theatre — without verifying the reports of her alleged poor behavior.

“I can confirm the stunning and salacious rumors: in her personal time, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert is indeed a supporter of the performing arts (gasp!) and, to the dismay of a select few, enthusiastically enjoyed a weekend performance of ‘Beetlejuice,'” Drew Sexton wrote in a statement according to the Denver Post.

Sexton also confirmed to the paper that Boebert had used her phone to take a picture of the show although the theater prohibits cell phone usage during a performance.

“It’s true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud!” Boebert posted on X. Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week and please let me know how it ends!”

Boebert, a mother of four boys and grandmother to one, filed for divorce from her husband Jayson of 18 years in May, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Boebert is seeking a third term in Congress and is expected to face Democratic challenger Adam Frisch in the general election.

It would be a rematch of the 2022 election where she narrowly defeated the Colorado businessman by 546 votes or 0.16% of the 327,000 total votes cast.
