Viewers, beware! Hulu and Disney+‘s new Goosebumps series is dialing up the scares.
The first five episodes of the show premiered on the two streaming platforms on October 13, 2023, and the remainder of the episodes will air on Fridays, meaning that Episode 7 is hitting the streamers on October 27, 2023.
Inspired by R.L. Stine’s bestselling novels, the show follows a group of five high schoolers as they investigate the tragic passing of a teen named Harold Biddle.
They are in for a shock, though, as they realize that their parents are more connected to Harold than they thought.
Episode 6 — titled “Night of the Living Dummy” — introduced the most popular Goosebumps villain, Slappy the Dummy, and gave him a rich backstory.
In the end, it is revealed that Slappy tormented Harold, who was using the doll to do a ventriloquist act at his school’s talent show after finding it in his parent’s basement.
Slappy causes Harold to get in trouble as he makes inappropriate comments during the show, but by the time people realize that something is wrong, it is too late. Slappy has locked Harold away and possessed the surroundings with an evil spirit.
Mr. Bratt (Justin Long), who has been assisting the present-day teens, recounts this story and the group rejoices in their parents’ attempt to intervene; however, the teacher shuts them down and insists that their parents bullied Harold. When the teens ask him how he knows that information, it is revealed that Mr. Bratt has been possessed by Harold’s spirit all along.
But what happens next? Well, Episode 7 teases that the group continues to learn more about Harold as they attempt to return to the “real world.” Wondering when Episode 7 of the horror comedy season comes out? Continue reading for everything you need to know.

The synopsis for Goosebumps Episode 7 reads, “The group works together to find a way to escape their new reality; as they search for a way to get back to the real world, they make new discoveries about Harold Biddle; Nora takes matters into her own hands and treks to her remote cabin.”
