South Bronx Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) is urging Goldman Sachs to cut ties with a pro-Palestinian organization over its executive director getting caught spewing “Nazi rhetoric” in a now-viral video.
Torres called out the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund for donating “millions” to The People’s Forum (TPF), in a strongly-worded letter to fund president Karey Dye obtained by The Post.
TPF’s executive director, Manolo De Los Santos, was captured calling for “that final blow to destroy Israel” during what appears to be an event in New York City.
“When we finally deal that final blow to destroy Israel, when the state of Israel is finally destroyed and erased from history, that will be the single most important blow we can give to destroying capitalism and imperialism in our lifetime,” De Los Santos said in front of a cheering crowd.
Torres expressed disgust in the “genocidal nature” of the speech and said the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund had a “moral obligation to cut ties” with TPF — which has known links to the Chinese Communist Party, The Post previously reported.
“Thousands of Israelis were massacred, maimed, mutilated, abducted, raped, and tortured at the murderous hands of Hamas,” Torres wrote, referring to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
“[This] espouses the kind of genocidal ideology that The People’s Forum has been caught promoting as ‘the final blow,’ which is strikingly similar to Nazi rhetoric about a ‘final solution.’
“The case for cutting ties speaks for itself.”
The video, which surfaced on Monday, was furiously reposted by outraged and disgusted X users who were shocked to learn of Goldman Sachs’ historic ties to the organization. It remains unclear when the video was filmed.
“Goldman Sachs did you realize did you realize that Manolo De Los Santos of The People’s Forum is calling for the complete destruction and eradication of Israel?” said one user.
“It’s basically a Sick and twisted call for mass murder and genocide of Israelis and Jewish people,” said another.
According to the Goldman Sachs Philanthropy Fund’s Form 990, the IRS’ primary tool for gathering information about tax-exempt organizations, the last donations to TPF was in 2019 for $12 million.
TPF also received $4.4 million in 2018 and $2.5 million in 2017 from the investment banking giant’s giving arm.
Its unclear whether Goldman Sachs remains affiliated with TPF. Neither returned requests for comment.
TPF has been vocal about the Israel and Palestinian war since it erupted Oct. 7 following vicious and bloody attacks launched by Hamas terrorists on Israel.
Its pro-Palestinian agenda, calling for “more marches, walk-outs, sit-ins, and other forms of direct action directed at the political offices, businesses, and workplaces that fund, invest, and collaborate with Israeli genocide and occupation.”
To mark Martin Luther King (MLK) Day the group, with De Los Santos at the helm, posted pictures from an pro-Palestinian rally demanding a permanent ceasefire.
In December, it was revealed that the organization was primarily funded by Neville Roy Singham, a China sympathizer and donor to socialist causes who helped organize a a massive anti-Israel student walkout with support from a Brooklyn parent council.
Located in Midtown, the multi-room modern headquarters the organization hosts classes like “Lenin and the Path to Revolution,” praising countries like China and Cuba that have “smash[ed] the shackles of Western imperialism,” as well as seminars like “Healthcare Under Siege and Apartheid,” blaming Israel for “discriminatory policies” and “genocide” in Gaza.
