The Vegas Golden Knights have taken complete control of the Stanley Cup Final.
Not only are the Knights up 3-1 in the best-of-7 series, but the Florida Panthers could be without their best player, Matthew Tkachuk, for Game 5.
The Knights are now -1400 to win the series and are -172 favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook for Tuesday’s game.
They closed at -134 for Game 2, which was the last contest played in Vegas.
A 38-cent swing seems massive, but it seems as if bookmakers are protecting themselves against the influx of money that would come in if Tkachuk were to be ruled out with the apparent injury that limited him at the end of Game 4.
The market movement makes it hard to justify a bet on Vegas, but it’s also hard to get invested in Florida without knowing Tkachuk’s status.
Thus, we’ll focus on some props instead.
And since there is a good chance that this will be our last NHL game to bet on for six months, let’s try to go out with a bang by building a same-game parlay with some serious upside (you could always play these bets individually, too).
Even if Tkachuk is good to go, it’s likely he’ll play limited minutes and that should lead to an uptick in opportunity to some players down the lineup like Lundell.
Arguably the most consistent player for Florida in this series, Lundell has a goal and ranks third on the Panthers with nine shots on goal at 5-on-5 in this series.

The Panthers will need someone to step up if they’re going to send this series back to Sunrise, Fla., for a Game 6, and Lundell looks like the most likely Cat to play hero in Tkachuk’s stead.
One of the unsung heroes on a team filled with them, Amadio has been terrific through the first four games of the finals.
The 27-year-old has a goal and has registered six shots on target through the first four games.
Amadio ranks third on Vegas with five high-danger scoring chances, leading the Knights in expected goals (5-on-5).
Finding value in the anytime goalscorer market always comes down to identifying players who are getting opportunities and Amadio is making the most of his time playing on a terrific line with William Karlsson and Reilly Smith.
Karlsson and Smith are the headliners of the trio for sure, but that helps to keep the price up on Amadio.
No Golden Knight has played more than Pietrangelo, who leads the team with 22 shot attempts through the first four games in the finals.
He has yet to register a point, but Vegas has done a great job of generating traffic in front of Sergei Bobrovsky all series, and that puts some value on Pietrangelo at this number.
Three defensemen have scored for Vegas in this series.
Take the +700 payout on Pietrangelo to join in on the fun.
Like I noted above, there are a number of ways to play these props, but I’ll take a shot on the three-leg parlay.
It should pay out 285/1, though sportsbooks tend to slash the prices on same-game parlays, so it may come out a bit shorter than that.
As always, be sure to shop around for the best number.
