Glenn Sherlock, a fixture on the Mets coaching staff in various capacities for most of the past decade, has decided to retire.

“I have been so fortunate to work with so many great people along the way,” Sherlock said Tuesday in a text message to The Post.

Sherlock, 65, spent the past three seasons as the team’s catching instructor.

He was also the bench coach for Buck Showalter in the manager’s first season with the Mets.

Sherlock previously served as third base coach and first base coach with the Mets under managers Terry Collins and Mickey Callaway from 2017-19 before spending three seasons with the Pirates in various capacities.

He began his coaching career with the Yankees — for whom he served as the first minor league manager for Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera.

There could be other changes to the Mets coaching staff in the coming weeks following the team’s disappointing season that ended short of the playoffs.

Most notably, team brass will have to decide on pitching coach Jeremy Hefner, and hitting coaches Eric Chavez and Jeremy Barnes.
