Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Glen Powell’s ex-girlfriend, Gigi Paris, appeared on Tuesday’s episode of the “Too Much” podcast and admitted that she “was shattered” by the romance rumors between the actor and his “Anyone But You” co-star Sydney Sweeney.
“It was just, this is what I have to do for my job. I had two options. I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder, like, ‘Are they hooking up? Are they not hooking up? Is she okay with this? What the f—?'” Paris, 32, said.
“Or stand up for myself and say, ‘No, I’m actually not okay with this, and I’m walking away,'” she added. “So that’s what I decided to do.”
Paris split from Powell, 36, around April 2023 after he was seen getting flirty with Sweeney, 27, on the set of their rom-com. The stars continued to spark romance rumors when they promoted the film leading up to its Dec. 2023 release.
“I just wanted respect, especially if it’s gonna be public,” Paris explained.
“Like, don’t make an ass out of me. Like, just don’t make a fool out of someone you’ve been with for over three years talking about forever with. Just have some decency, you know?”
The model continued: “And at the end of the day, it was like, well, work comes first. And if that’s the case, power to you, that’s your priority. I gotta walk away. What sucked was how it was handled. I felt like I was just fed to the dogs.”
Paris then slammed Powell for not denying the rumors about him and Sweeney.
“Where are you when you just need to stand up and say, ‘No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend. I wouldn’t do that.’ That’s all that needed to be said,” Paris stated. “And that wasn’t said … Never once.”
“It was serving them for their PR,” she further alleged about Powell and Sweeney. “Later on, it turned out that it was all, I don’t know if there was a relationship there or not, but then they came out to say it was all a PR scheme at the expense of our relationship. Like, it was just crazy.”
Paris added, “Just to sell a movie or not, who knows? And I honestly hoped that they’d end up together, because I was like, at least it would make it worth it for me, you know? I hope they are in love or whatnot.”
Paris also claimed that Powell dumped her when he was in Australia filming “Anyone But You.”
“He called and said, ‘The producers and I have discussed that I think it’s best that you don’t come to visit.’ … And that’s when I hung up. And I was like, ‘This motherf–-er is done to me,’” she said.
“Once I got that phone call, I just knew it was done,” added Paris. “I had lost whoever that person was that I loved.”
The Post has reached out to Powell and Sweeney’s reps for comment.
Both Powell and Sweeney have confirmed they leaned into the romance rumors to market “Anyone But You.”
“That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit — and it worked wonderfully,” Powell told the New York Times in April 2024.
A year before, Sweeney told Variety, “It’s a rom-com. That’s what people want! Glen and I don’t really care. We have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much.”
The romance rumors resurfaced in March when Sweeney attended Powell’s sister Leslie Powell’s wedding in Texas amid rumors that she split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, 41.
Shortly after the wedding, it was confirmed that the “Euphoria” star and the film producer called off their wedding.
“She’s not ready to settle down,” an insider told People on March 31. “They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”
Last month, Sweeney told The Times that she was officially single.
“I’m learning a lot about myself,” Sweeney expressed at the time. “Spending more time with my friends. And I’m loving it.”
Powell, meanwhile, played coy when asked about Sweeney attending his sister’s wedding on “Today With Jenna & Friends” on April 2.
“You know, timing is everything in this world,” he said while laughing. “[Leslie] and Syd are obviously great friends and it was a hell of a wedding.”
